Amerigas customer service is horrible and delivery service is even worse. We changed suppliers and have a above ground tank now. They *** us to buy a 40 year old tank they never service but want your money . They want us to pay to have their tank dug up at our expense. They never cut you a deal on gas even when propane prices goes down.

I don't know how they stay in business, they over charge you for propane, then when you tell them you are changing companies, they call to try and intimidate you ! After being informed I was switching companies a "lady" from Amerigas called me to say I would have to either pay $400 to dig up THEIR tank for them or buy it for $200 + tax !! This is a warning to all customers of AmeriGas, Cobleskill, NY. After having dealt with frequent miscommunication and rudeness on the part of AmeriGas in Cobleskill, NY, I decided to switch to another company. I recently changed from Propane to Nat Gas. I had to have the tank pumped out before pick up...no problem. BUT.....now i get bill for $149.00 for the pump out of gas which I already paid for. So first i get billed for buying the gas, then billed for taking it out. HUH?? That is double dipping. I asked local office about it and they said, thats our policy. High prices so your techs can sit at their moms house for 2 hours everyday of the work week... While using company vehicle... No integrity at all...

We were a customer with Kamps, and had to pay up front for propane that was left from previous tenant. Amerigas took over our account without our knowledge let our tank get empty then fill it in the middle of winter with prices at their peak. When we moved out had 71% of 250 gal. tank we asked for credit for, they said too bad work it out with landlord, will never use or recommend their product again. Received $119.00 bill for an enrollment fee. Called local company, left message - no one called back. Found out after calling corp office fee is to lock in pricing for the year @ $2.99, no where on bill does it describe what this fee was for. I never write reviews, but I spoke with an Amerigas customer service rep yesterday and I'm still bothered by my experience. This representative was extremely unhelpful, rude and treated me like I was an *** until she finally realized her misunderstanding and then still wasn't the least but helpful. I will be patronizing other propane companies from now on. That was ridiculous. Steer clear.
