My tank never had a gauge so I couldn't tell if I was going to run out. (Which I asked them to change for 2 years and was ignored). When I ran out the weekend before Thanksgiving I called first thing Monday morning and was told they couldn't fill it before Thursday without a 175.00 emergency fee. I asked them to come and get their tank and it is still sitting in my yard. They hsd no problem charging me a 53.00 tank rental fee tho. :/ Read more

We are new to propane and believed the service tech who said we didn't need a 500 gallon tank, but 2-100 gallon tanks only. Two tanks were delivered, one was leaking and was taken away. They promised a new one in two weeks due to the service tech (who said he was the only one who worked this area) was going on a weeks vacation. We agreed that that was fine. I am completely unsatisfied. We placed an order two weeks ago and have not received a fill up. We have nothing but problems every year with you all. You are ready to take our cash but not provide the service. Every single time we call in no one answers the phone line we are on hold for over 30min and get no where. I called and told them my tank was empty and I need my lines blew out and my tank refilled. They came out and filled the tank, but told my wife they had twelve other calls to make and didn't have time to blow out my lines. I now have gas and nothing to use it with. Amerigas involved in gas exsplosion in holly springs and would not accept resposibility for their customers damages with a child

I am basically stuck with Americas because I have to pay extra to have a new service installed. I sent my check to whatever address they told me to and then they lost it. so I sent another. then they found the lost one and asked me to cancel the second one. then they said I did not pay my bill because i cancelled my check. i was basically stuck without heat for a long time and plants in my greenhouse died because they did not supply gas. I have been with Amerigas for as long as I owned this house and finally I've had it for the last time. (1) They would try to do an auto fill when time after time I explained to them that I only have one appliance being the range, the service delivery was more than the quantity of fuel. I have been threatening to take my business to another propane company because Amerigas prices are sometimes double the amount of other propane companies in my area but, it is so difficult because of so many fees charged to have the tank removed. I have to laugh when the manager explains to me why Amerigas prices are so much more than their competitors. Really!!! Took over six weeks to get my propane tank refilled ( have been a paying customer for over 15 years). The first time, the delivery guy did not call ahead like they had promised, just showed up, I was at work, so he permanently canceled the delivery order! Numerous mistakes but not one apology. Too many charges, fees, price gouging for gas. Only had Amerigas one year and the price per gallon was quoted as $1.89/ gal after their $69.99 fee to lock in. Neighbor was quoted $2.20/ gal after lock in fee. Another neighbor was quoted $1.59/ gal. Received a bill for $145 for tank rental. Called a competitor and was given a quote of $99/gal for first fill and $1.39 for a full year, no fee to lock in, no tank rental fee. No brainer, we... Read more
