I was on an auto fill-up and payment plan for many years and still nearly ran out of propane on 3 separate occasions. You can bet AmeriGas took money from my account each month regularly, but to monitor the tank as part of the plan seemed too much for them to handle. When I would ask why nobody monitored our fuel level, the branch’s response was that it was MY responsibility to monitor the tank level. Yup- blame the customer, because that...

I have to admit after two years of taking over my family home after my mother past I started to question the Amerigas bill. Their prices per gallon are double than other companies plus the amount to rent the tank is more than what other companies charge (at least 30.00 more) My family has been with them for over 20 years. I can only imagine what my family has paid out to this company. I will be looking elsewhere as soon as possible. Should...

We did business with Amerigas for 17 years. The only complaint I had up until a year ago was trouble with a driver. He was very rude when he came out on a emergency call when my propane tank backed up and filled my home with fumes. This past year has been a complete disaster! Major billing issues! We contacted customer service numerous times and were lied to and dodged. They shut off our service with no notice and sent us to collections over a...

thinking that they charged existing customers more because they can since propane isn't regulated by the government. After doing a little research and asking several questions as a "new customer looking into propane companies", I was told the rates could be anywhere from $1.99-$3.99 per gallon according to "market value and usage". I told them those rates seemed much higher than the few other companies I got information from, to which I was...

I ve been a customer for over 20 years.Called and had my 100 gallon tank filled . l usually ask what the price is, but i figured with oil and gas prices being a fraction of what they were last year my price would be about the same or lower. When they delivered gas and i looked at the price per gallon, i almost had a heart attack. It had DOUBLED. Called local office and was told there was nothing they could do.I m done , but the sad thing about...

Amerigas bought out my supplier I thought OK well in December after an Auto Fill, They sent me a Bill for over 700 dollars for filling my tank from 30% to 80 % (250 gal tank) I called them and I got the well you can pay us a 125 a year and we can lock in your price but as far as this bill sorry that's the price, Lease came up in Feb but still had too much gas in the tank so I just did not pay the lease .. When I got down to 30% in Mid April got...

rollo2016 Much of the price you pay for the propane is due to the price the company bought the contracts for. If they misjudged and bought the next year's supply at too high a price, th...

I will NEVER use Amerigas again, even if I have to pay more somewhere else. 1) A local realtor arranged group pricing for my small community. Amerigas never informed me of this. When I asked about it, they informed me that they would have to pull my meter. Not desireable, but i could tolerate that for the better price. 2) When the serviceman came to pull my meter, he performed a pressure test, even though they had already been providing propane...

When we ran out of propane they would not refill the tank until we paid the fee for not getting a refill, which they then waived. We got a refill, they billed us (read : gouged us) for the refill and waived fee. I paid the gouged price, noted on the bill that the no-refill fee had been waived, which triggered a shut-off notice and a bill for $170.58, which corresponds to nothing -- not the bill I paid and not the waived fee for not getting a...

In 2 deliveries, 2 months apart, I was overcharged about $750. 500 gallons at $3.96, when the "going" rate was under $2.50.
