7/17/09 Amerigas The largest retail propane supplier in the USA tells 6000 workers to take 3 hr. off a week "NO PAY".

WOW! WHEN THE STOCK HOLDERS ARE GETTING RITCH! AND THE MANEGERS ARE PARTING! IN FLORIDA NEXT WEEK 7/20/09-7/24/09

ABC NBC CBS FOX NEWS NEEDS TO LOOK AT THIS.

Please call your local Amerigas office and ask about your quality of service ? Also the employee can not use vacation time it is against the rules minimum of 4hr. off to use vacation.

Corporate America screwing the worker and rewarding the stock holder.

Perhaps Mike Taylor can hire the right people for a change and stop being a *** making the same mistake over and over. FIX the company rather than letting it go to ***...maybe then these complaints would stop. Employees would be more loyal, and customers would be more appreciated!

this company is a joke i work for them only couse i need the job but iv had four bosses since iv been with them something wrong with this picture i think dont get me wrong i love my job but i feel the company it self is a joke we have to lie to our customers every day i dont know how we stay in busines

i live in Halifax ,nc and every year go threw the hassle of having to negotiate the price per gallon for propane,,i feel as if i am getting ripped off,i have three brothers that buy from amerigas and none of us pay the same for gas.what ever they can get out of us is what there motto is,,between $2.30 and $3.00 a gallion

If the company was really interested in saving mony they should look in there own back yard. Its not the raise's that Uppermanagement gets, It starts with all the useless spending they pay out, Yes they jet every manager all over the place for upper crust meetings, wine and dine them,put them up in exclusive motel's for meeting's that dont amount to a *** thing except to preach how they need to make more money and pay out less, Save save save, Must reduce spending, They have a call center in the Upper midwest region where they actualy fly people to work, supply rental cars feed them and of course put them up in motels while they are there,(Talk about a pay raise) then fly them back home for the weekend, Then they get to do it all over again, What ever happend to the days of living where you worked?, Sure wish they would pay for my car,Lodgeing, and meals, The Upper midwest managers get paid for up to 3 Good so called meeting Trips a year anywhere from Casinos, to resorts tthen they still get a paid vacation on top of that, we all should be so lucky to have the money to blow on such uselessnes of company money, but then again I cant help but wonder why the price goes up, and the service goes down because they have to cut back and save, Must mean that more and better trips are on the way or the upper crust's need another raise, It's also how so many managers can miss there marks for the year, but yet the Upper's can still achive to manage a yearly bonus, But I guess thats why they get paid the big bucks

Why don't you quit. Amerigas has cut hours back.

BUT they did it in a way that YOU can still keep your benefits.

They didn't have to do that. Maybe they should fire you or lay you off so they can bring someone in that needs 35 hours and is out of a job now.

they did it this time for the whole summer,(2010) Amerigas has lost is mind.

The managers they hire come from out of this buisness and generaly dont know squat, and are then expectd to run 3 or more locations.

Amerigases biggest expense and down fall... lack of experienced managers at every Branch. I see them loose money and coustomers daily over this.

Our district cut our hours to 35 per week. Unless you were a company suck up, you got your 40 hours, plus overtime.

Some of my co-workers drive almost an hour to work everyday, asked if they could work 4-eight hour days, which cuts them another 3 hours per week, and manager STILL, said no.

Anyone on here defending AmeriGas, or their uneducated Managers, got to be a stock holder, or a kiss ***.

They fire good people. Do me a favor, and FIRE ME!!!

Does anybody really "READ" these comments?! 'coldweatherman' commented on 'gasman's' complaint on March 10th 2009!

'gasman' made his "JEALOUSY" comment on July 18th 2009!! You "Little-Funny-Boys"should have gotten your stories together better than this! It's common knowledge that MANAGER wear 'Extra-Thick-Lipstick' all year just for this week away from thier Wifes!! Don't you "real-workers" realize that some of these "MANAGERS MEETINGS" run up "BAR-TABS" of $1800.00 !!!!!!

Just ask the Manager of area 1661 what his Reg. Manager spent in 2006, 2007, 2008 !!

Just this amount alone would have paid an employee for a year! This is what I was told, could have been another "LIE" like everything else the Managers say!!

did not get cut back at my plant, never heard anything about it until i read it here. don't know where you all work at so not sure why you and not us.

Amerigas is just another large company that does not realize who does the work that makes the money for them. If they did they would treat us workers better and pay more.

Now with the new safety guidelines it is gonna be real interesting from here on out. Just wondering how we are gonna get more done, with less help and more restrictions on how we are to do everything, if anyone knows please let us know the secret.
