AmeriGas - Bad RED regulator on leased propane tank
Leasing propane tank for years. Found leaking RED top regulator on tank.
Had been leaking for unknown amount of time. Never informed by Amerigas that the regulator was leaking. Loss of fuel (propane) possible hundred of gallons . Beware if you have a RED top regulator!
Know to be bad. The leak was found by smell at first; then soap test found that the leak was at the RED top regulator all the way around the top.
Warning: make sure to check your regulator if you have a RED top regulator (it sits inside the top cover on the tank) Crimped regulators usually always go bad. The good ones are bolted together and can be taken apart and cleaned.
Reason of review: Damaged or defective.
