Once again our company that has been a loyal buyer from AmeriGas has found the over billing that is deceptive on the AmeriGas side. You really need to watch the billing and even when you catch the company it can take up to a year as in our case to get it corrected.

Wow! Horrible company, don't even feel like typing, but feel obligated. They ripped me off for 200 dollars, have left me without gas for three weeks in the winter and literally nobody is available at the Oxnard office to speak with. I spoke with one woman once, rude is not the word I want I use. Thankfully Malibu has another new company so I have switched and saved 1.50$ a gallon. Also they turned me not a credit agency on two separate occasions ( I am a pay in advance costumer ) and have never owed them a dime. One word.. RUN!

AMERIGAS !! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

I HAVE BEEN GETTING ALMOST 500.00 PER MONTH BILLS FOR A 10X50 TRAILER. GOT THE LATEST BILL FOR 260.00 AND ITS BEEN TURNED OFF FOR A MONTH AND A HALF. I ASKED THEM TO PICK UP THEIR TANK , THEY TOLD ME THEY COULDNT COME OUT UNTIL THE 30TH, I HAD 2 OTHER TANKS PICKED UP AND IT TOOK THEM SERVERAL MONTHS AND DOZENS OF PHONE CALLS, I HAD A LEAKING TANK BEFORE, PAYING FOR THE GAS AND THEY DIDNT COME AND FIX IT, SO THATS WHEN I GOT RID OF THOSE 2 ACCOUNTS, TRYING TO GET RID OF THE LAST ONE. AFTER READING ALL THE COMPLAINTS, MAYBE ITS TIME FOR A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT!

We exchange propane tanks usually at Home Depot. I've had 4 out my last 6 that did not work.

No gas comes out. Sometimes takes 3 different tanks until one works (so I know it is not the regulator on my grill).

Another unhappy Amerigas customer

I have been an Amerigas customer for 10 years and the last couple of years I have seen their customer service level drop like a hot brick thru butter....Last straw was last week when I had a delivery to our out building and we asked him to fill the house tank. Driver checked tank, yes it's low but I don't have enough in truck, I will be back. Fast forward to this Friday night..no heat- yep out of Propane, Called Cust service at call center at God knows where.Long story short they have no record of low gas report from driver, and fill request and we will have to $98 fee because we are empty. I complained that we always tell them to fill both tanks when we call, but was told that we have to enter two separate orders, Drivers are always frustrated with the new computer system as well. Was told yesterday that they would probably be out that day..no show, called last night & they can't tell me when we are scheduled or where driver is at on his schedule,,,Hello don't they have cell phones?

It amazing. Every complaint I read on this site about Amerigas has to do with an *** running out of gas and then they are pissed that Amerigas wont just drop everything, screw all their other customers that called when they were supposed to and rush a delivery out to them at 3:00AM without any additional charges applied.

Are you idiots brain dead? Go to any propane company in the middle of the winter and see how long it takes to get a delivery and how much they charge you when you run out of gas.

I have a real simple solution, get your lazy *** of of your couch and check your tank regularly and quit looking for handouts!! They are trying to run a business and it is amazing they can successfully do it with *** like you!

Hellllooo, haven't you heard of the Department of Transportation? They have laws against using cell phones while driving ENORMOUS TRUCKS FILLED WITH FLAMMABLE GAS.

$4.97 per gallon for a contract customer that buys over 1000 gallons per year????!?!!

Customer service: How about saving me the trouble and aggravation of checking your competition to find you are $1.43 above the state average. (7 options in my area alone)

Nothing personal, customer service, but I really have no desire to call you and go through this every time you refill me.

As our last bill from amerigas was close to $5.00 gal and we are on alimited income we decided to purchace our oun tank. We found a 200 gal tank for $100. We called around for gas prices and found Ferralgas to be the most resonable. We contacted amerigas 1/1/2012 and notified them that we will no longer use them. We also asked them to pick up their tank at the same time. They nbilled us for the next years tank rental and we prorated the time that we used their tank and sent them the money. They told us that their was a pickup notice issued on the their tank at that time.

Since then the tank has not been picked up, still in our yard as of 4/13/2012. They have just sent us a bill for this years tank rental plus a penalty of about $100 plus tank rental for a total of $150 plus.

I guess turnabout will be fair play meaning we will chargethem $10 mper day starting back in January 2012 to date .

Not very pleased with amerigas and their prices nor their book keeping.
