I LIVE IN A SMALL HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION IN CALIFORNIA. THE ASSOCIATION HAS A LARGE UNDERGROUND PROPANE TANK WHICH ALL OF OUR MEMBERS UTILIZE.

I JUST LEARNED THAT I PAY $1.32 PER 10 CUBIC FEET OF PROPANE TO AMERIGAS. ONE OF MY NEIGHBORS PAYS $0.89. ANOTHER PAYS $0.71036. MY VISIT TO THE LOCAL AMERIGAS OFFICE PROVED TO BE LESS THAN HELPFUL.

I WAS TOLD THAT PRICES ARE DETERMINED AT THE CORPORATE LEVEL. I THEN REQUESTED THAT SHE SEND A TECHNICIAN OUT TO CHECK FOR LEAKS AS MY USAGE FOR THE MONTH OF JANUARY WAS 86% MORE THAN THE USAGE FOR THE MONTH OF DECEMBER. IT WAS COLDER HERE IN DECEMBER THAN IT WAS IN JANUARY. SHE SAID THAT SHE WOULD BUT THAT IT WOULD COST ME $40.

I JUST SENT AN E-MAIL TO CORPORATE. WISH ME LUCK!!

Reason of review: Pricing issue.

Monetary Loss: $500.

Preferred solution: Price reduction.
