AmeriGas - Extremely poor service, ripping off customers and holding them hostage with prolonged delivery time
I called Amerigas on day for propane. They told me that because my tank is empty, I will have to pay $249.00 for express delivery that day, otherwise I would not receive service until day 3.
In addition to two other surcharges. I paid the fee and was assured that delivery would be made that day. Day 2 there was no delivery and I called. They advised me it would be 24 hours.
I requested my refund for the express delivery, they said I would still have to pay $99 extra for delivery on day 3, otherwise it will be day 7 since it will now be 5 business days. It is now day 7, I have not received gas as yet nor have I received my refund.
This is not the first time I have had issues with this company, they are not consumer friendly for a company that provides such a critial commodity.
I will be complaining as far as I can go.
Reason of review: there is someone who has special needs living in the home who cannot tolerate coldness because of her illness. Twice I tried to explain and apparently they hung up on me..
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
AmeriGas Cons: Poor ethics, Employee attitude, No delivery when expected.
