I started in February 2020 to get a generator setup.. I contacted Amerigas to see what needed to be done - I was told give them a week's notice.

I did that, called to schedule it and was told I had to have their Engineer come out to tell me what needed to be done. Great, let's set that up; he came out, said what needed to be done - I called to schedule that then and was told construction was shut down due to covid and they didn't know when they could get to it. Having a generator was crucial the way our power goes out, out here. In 2019 - we lost over$ 6,000.00 insulin when the power went out while we were out of town.

I called Enderby Gas - they came out, did all work and hooked up the generator in 30 minutes total. I called Amerigas back and told them to come get their tank... well, do the math - this is September 2021 and it's still sitting here. I have called and called and called and each time, I'm told a different thing by a different person.

The final straw was last week when I called and was told that they came out on 9/11 to get the tank and that it was too wet since it had rained. HHmmm.. first, I was home all day and they never came out; second of all - it never rained that weekend.

Their customer service is absolutely horrible and they'll tell you anything just to get you off the phone. Even more - we've used them for over 15 years and still get no help from anyone.

We want this tank picked up - no more excuses and reasons why it can't be.

I should be charging you storage considering I've been asking you for 1-1/2 years to pick it up. My next step is the news department consumer affairs - this is absolutely ridiculous and it's gone on way too long.

User's recommendation: Find a different company.

Preferred solution: This tank picked up immediately and at this point - credited for the gas inside. I was told over a year ago i had to pay to have it removed - that's on you now - you owe me just for storing the tank the last 1-1/2 years for you..

AmeriGas Cons: You can not depend on them to do anything.

The only sensible thing you stated was in jest ; to charge the company for storage. But that is no joke ; had you complained in writing immediately with your expected payment receipt demand (served via Certified Mail Return Receipt Requested) you'd have seen them jump like their shoes were on fire.
