Wow. Norwalk, Ohio here.

That is too bad.

I have for a while been thinking of changing companies....I guess it is time this spring cause here I sit at 30% , promised a delivery two days ago, seen no one, it's white out, winds at 30 mph, minus wind chills, and I get to fret about if I'll get propane in time and how much. OMG please keep me safe and warm till they get here.

AMERIGAS PROMISIS TANK FILL AND DOES NT HAVE TIME !!!

My grandmother tells me she is starting to wonder if she is going to run out of propane. She tells me she called at 30% like the company told her to but they never showed up after 3 weeks. I called and talked to the representative for my area and he assured me next day service since the tank is at 5% and it s -6 degrees tonight. called in at noon and found out there are no trucks and delivers scheduled for delivery in my area !!! WTF AMERIGAS !!! what happened to honest business ??? big business only cares about $ and not people anymore !!

Just a little imput to your 100.00 termination problem! I called to cancel and was told the same thing.

I had an idea, I decided to check out a few more complaints about this issue and came across a gentleman who not only was a consumer, but also an employee. He suggested exactly what I intended to do. So I called my local office back, this is almost a week later since my first call to come and remove the tank. I told them I am charging them storage fees at a rate of $10.00 a day.

I also contact the area manager and explained the same. I intend on sticking to this and when they finally decided to come and pick up the tank, what ever there storage fee's are. I will deduct that from the termination fee and send them a check for the balance.

If however, there storage fee's are more than the termination fee's I will send THEM a bill on a monthly basis, and after 30 days I am charging them 15% interest! We'll see what happens, I will let you know!!

We rented a house in July 2010, which already had a tank with some propane in it. Since we use gas only for two fireplaces, we did not need to order more gas until December 2010. The tank was not low; we ordered then just to be on the safe side for the winter. I...

Amerigas raises rates for HEAP recipients

When I purchased my current home the propane supplier used by the previous owner was Amerigas. I obtained propane from the for a very short time as I became aware of their poor business practices. My neighbor pays for his propane, uses less than me, yet is charged less because I pay via HEAP. Now for those who are not aware, HEAP is held in the suppliers account, until used. Amerigas has no additional paperwork, they do not have to bill me and wait for payment. So what is their reason for charging me, and in truth, tax payers, extra simply because they already have the money. When I realized this as well as the fact that they are charging for every little thing they can in order to use as much of these funds as possible, I decided to switch vendors. I have already contacted the NYS Attorney General and would encourage everyone to do the same. Particularly if you are a HEAP recipient so that the AG can compile as much information as possible in order to shut this practice down. As of this date Amerigas has charged me $207 and change for incidentals, to my knowledge none of this was for actual fuel used.

Fran, or whatever your name really is, I have tried to work with Amerigas but since corporate is no more willing to assist than the local office, No you can not assist me. I originally thought that by complaining to corporate about the poor customer service, poor integrity of the local Watkins Glen office perhaps something would be done about Kimberly and her supervisor but Now I understand that corporate advocates this behavior.

Kimberly is still there and according to my neighbor Amerigas is still overcharging according to local standards of pricing.

Have a lovely day. After reading several complaints here regarding Amerigas I see you haven't changed customer service or integrity of company policy yet nor do I think you have any intent to do so.

Amerigas Come Get Your Tanks!!!

I am waiting for Amerigas to come get their tanks since November 2008, it is now the end of September 2009. They charged me a tank fee for not using enough propane, which was never in any contract I signed and have been a loyal customer since they were LEVEL PROPANE many years ago. I am billing them for caretaker services and may make a HOG roaster out of one if they are not gone by November. A year is long enough to exersize ownership transfer. As the weeks move On I will move them down the driveway closer to the road. Maybe someone will pick them up.

Or you could calm the *** down and be patient like a civilized human being. The tank doesn't take up much space, and unless you've got a postage stamp sized yard I think you'll be just fine. Have some patience for crying out loud.

Did they try to charge you a termination fee of $95.00? I been with them since 7/02

and left them because all of these hidden charges.

I told them take me to court because in my so contract it's not mention. I don't even have a term agreement.

'Ya know, if that Tank had a "LEAK", & it was reported to local Fire Dept., the Fire Dept. would get in touch with them to get it "NOW"!!!!!

I think I would check for leak realy early on Sunday Morning!! There's a tiny valve on the side, that is 'FAMOUS' for leaking!!
