Recently AmeriGas purchased our local propane provider, Heritage Gas company that was superior service, customer service and competitively priced. Since AmeriGas took over, customer service is horrendous. The staff is very disrespectful and will lie directly to you. The management will not talk to the customer, will not return calls and avoids any complaint.

We requested them to pick up our tank that we had installed underground when our home was built in 2008 on May 23rd and as of today September 16th it still is not been picked up, but they came out on July 2nd and disconnected it right before the holiday in which left us with no hot water for our holiday guest. Keep in mind we own the gas that's in the tank. Then we called and demanded they come and remove the take on 6 occasions, in which we had to take the time off work to meet them. They either didn't show up at all or said they couldn't take the tank because of equipment failure, but they still would not reconnect the tank so we could have access to OUR gas.

We have a whole house generator and need access in case of power outages or severe storms. Now they are charging me for a "tank rental" and late fees for the rental and reporting me to a collection agency.

If this is how YOU want to be treated, then go ahead and get screwed, otherwise find a company that has a value for customers, ethics, morals because this company has none of these. Next call is Citrus and Hernando County BBB, Chamber of Commence, State of Florida Attorney General, Bay News 9, Action 10 Tampa bay and my attorney
